Sewing Garments Together
Sewing Garments Together:
A very relaxed meeting this month.
We sat around a table and chatted, whilst trying out different methods of sewing garments together
Using a bobbin (Wool Needle)
We tried:
Mattress Stitch which gives a flatter seam than back stitch
and
Ladder Stitch is even flatter great for baby garments
Also using a crochet hook we tried Slip stitch to link pieces together - which is a slightly chunkier seam
Show & Tell:
A few garments this month, our ladies had been busy during the summer break
From Winter Hats to Baby Cardigans
Even an intricate Lace Fan from one of our very talented ladies
